When follwoing the steps in the Create a build pipeline with Azure Pipelines the configure pipeline step is skiped

Question

I am following the Create a build pipeline with Azure Pipelines module and in unit 6 under Create the pipeline step 7. I get a problem as the configure step is automatically skipped after it is done with analysing something(it goes by too fast to read it all).

I found that if I create one pipeline and then go and create another one the configure step is not skipped and I can create the pipeline as described. I think this is because a YAML pipeline is already defined in the repository.

Is this just outdated learning material or was the YAML file accidentally included in the GitHub repository?
