How do I switch the card subscription of pay-as-you-go from one account to another azure account?

I subscripted pay-as-you-go on the wrong account, and now I am unable to use the same card for subscription pay-as-you-go on the correct account. Would disabling the card subscription on the wrong account and removing all the card details allow me to use the same card to subscript for another account?

Hello @Alex Seow Thank you for reaching out to us on Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to help!

If you have subscribed to a pay-as-you-go subscription on the wrong account and you want to use the same card to subscribe to another pay-as-you-go subscription on a different account, you can try disabling the card subscription on the wrong account and removing all the card details.

However, please note that disabling the card subscription on the wrong account may not immediately release the card for use on another account. It may take some time for the payment system to update and release the card for use on another account.

Also, if you have any usage or pending payment, system will not allow you to remove the credit card. In this case you need to contact Azure billing and subscription management support by raising a support request. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.

Here is the link - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request to create support case.

FYI: Azure Billing and Subscription Management support is included in the Basic Support Plan without any charge.

In addition, if the card is associated with a specific account, you may need to contact Azure support to have them release the card for use on another account. Azure support will then review your request and provide further assistance.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
