Hey,

I am trying to set up a workstation for multi-user remote desktop connection. The workstation has windows 11 Enterprise and I changed already the group policies "Limit Number of Connections", "Restrict remote desktop service users to a single.." and "Set the remote desktop licensing mode" to "user".

From my understanding with these settings it should be possible that multiple users can log in via remote desktop at the same time and stay connected at the same time. However, when now a second user tries to connect the user is asked to either kick out the first user or cancel the connection attempt. What am I missing? Why does it not work?

Thanks a lot in Advance for any help!

    Hello,

The Windows client does not permit multiple users to log in simultaneously by design. To enable multiple users to work on the same PC, you would need to set up a Windows server.
