My laptop has had its motherboard replaced several times. Each time, the same issue occurs with my school organizational Microsoft account. Usually I can ignore it, but this time I cannot due to work.

Initially my account could not be verified, so when attempting to use Microsoft 365 applications I would be prompted to verify my account. This would be met with an error 80090016. I was able to solve this problem by renaming Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy, however I was still unable to login to my apps. Following this, I would get error 1001 (I do not have the full log as I cannot recreate this right now, if someone knows how to bring up error logs I can).

Now, when I try to login, nothing happens, the login does not work, and it returns me to the Word or Excel launch pad or prompts me to login/activate my MS365. My PIN is also disabled. Does anyone have any advice for fixing these issues. I am also unable to disconnect my school account in account settings (I believe this might be a potential fix). When I click disconnect and confirm, nothing happens and my account does not disconnect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Usually the TPM chip is embedded on your motherboard. Your PIN data and other authentication related certificates are stored in the TPM so this might be causing the issue. Have you tried resetting your PIN to resolve the issue? Otherwise you might have to reset your device to fix the issue.
