Printers Dropping off in RDC mid-session

Hi All,

I have a VM in Azure that I have users connect to using their 365 credentials.

They have 3 local printers in their office, and I have installed the drivers on the server and when users remote on they are able to pull through their printers and print to them.

However, the printers seem to drop off quite frequently. I know that they can drop off from time to time as per my experience working IT has told me but I am noticing that they seem to be dropping off multiple times a day for some users.

I have a hunch that it might be being cause by there not being enough RAM installed and that the SWAP is being used and somehow dropping off printers but that's just a hunch.

Any help or advice on where to look for answers?

    Hello,

If you suspect there might be an issue with the RAM, you can verify this by checking the system event log for any RAM-related issues. Similarly, if it's a service-related issue, you should examine the application logs in the event log for any errors or warnings.

I haven't found a resolution for this but instead we made the local printer a network printer and setup a vpn that would tunnel that ip address of the local printer.

This seems to be working ok.
