Degraded performance after upgraded Azure VM Disk

Dears,

In my current project, we had some users using Azure VMs with Windows 11 (GPU) with Standard SSD LRS disks and others using Premium SSD LRS.

Recently we moved everyone that was missing to Premium SSD P10, stopping the machines, and when they got to a deallocated status, we updated the disk configuration. The reason was to improve performance, but these users specifically now are facing some slower operations than it was before. It got much worse.

Could it be a huge coincidence? Or is this explainable?

I appreciate any input,

So far, I

  • Defragmented the disk
  • Upgraded the tier to P15
