We have set up and intranet site with sharepoint through Viva connections, there in we have a 3 sites with each their own news webparts. We wanted to switch of notifications for 1 on the sites so that users don't get bombarded every time we post on that site. We are unable to find a solution on how to switch it off centrally for that specific site(its only all or nothing). Anyone have any solutions?

Hi @Sam,You could refer to following steps to prevent notification emails for users.

    1. Navigate to Site Collections or the specific site where you want to manage permissions.
    2. Click on “Settings” or “Site Actions” (depending on your version of SharePoint).
    3. Select “Site Administration”.
    4. Choose “User alerts”. User's image

Here, you’ll see a list of alerts associated with users. These alerts include notifications related to permissions and other activities.

Check the boxes next to the alerts that you don’t want to bother users with.

Click “Delete Selected Alerts” to disable those specific notifications.
