With regards to direct connectivity between networks, theres no clarification does this negate peering costs, I assume this is me being hopeful but I would just want that clarified.

Thanks

    Peter Knowles ,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.

I understand that you would like to know about the pricing for Direct connectivity in Azure Virtual Network Manager.

From the Azure Virtual Network Manager Pricing page, I see

The Virtual Network Peering charge applies to the traffic volume via the connectivity created by Azure Virtual Network Manager

Similarly, from VNET Peering pricing page,

The Virtual Network Peering charge applies to the traffic volume via the connectivity created by Azure Virtual Network Manager.

This means, with Direct connectivity, you are charged the same as using a VNET Peering

    NOTE :

    • Only Ingress and egress traffic is charged at both ends of the peered networks
    • User's image

Kindly let us know if this helps or you need further assistance on this issue.

    Thanks,

    Kapil
