Can I change the public IP route preference from Microsoft Global Network to Internet?

I configured a VM with a public IP and Microsoft network route preference. Can I change the route preference to Internet? If so, how? Additionally, can I change the route preference from Internet back to Microsoft network?

    Unfortunately, you are unable to change the routing preference AFTER the public IP has been created.

    In order to change this, you will need to delete and recreate the Public IP address.
