Hello,

With our admin account, it not possible to access the Carbon Optimization Service. But for the subscription selected, the account really has a role of Service Administrator, which should grant access to all the resources, right?

It also doesnt work even by following this documentation and granting the account "Carbon Optimization Reader". Anyone can help?

Thank you!

    Hello admin ogsl,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Double-check that the Carbon Optimization Reader role has been correctly assigned at the subscription level. ensure that the Azure Carbon Optimization application is not disabled at the tenant level. This might require contacting your tenant administrator.

Verify that the subscription is active and in good standing. Some preview services may have additional requirements for subscription eligibility.

    Hi @admin ogsl

Thank you for posting this in Microsoft Q&A.

Service Administrator role is a Directory level role, in order to work with resources within subscription need RBAC roles. Both RBAC and Entra roles are different.

What type of data are you trying to access? Carbon Optimization Reader can only view emissions. If you have only view emissions, try signing out and then signing back in to see what happens. Could you please share the error message that you are encountering?

The following table outlines the permissions required for Azure carbon optimization.
