Are Azure classic storage accounts automatically migrated to ARM

Question

I am using an Azure classic storage account.

This needs to be migrated (by August 31) but do not have admin access.

Will the Azure classic storage account be automatically migrated to Azure Resource Manager ?

In any case, I want to keep access to the blobs in the storage. Even after August 31.

If you are using an Azure classic storage account, it will not be automatically migrated to Azure Resource Manager. You will need to manually migrate the classic storage account to a Resource Manager storage account before August 31, 2022, to avoid any disruption in service.

To migrate a classic storage account to a Resource Manager storage account, you can use the Azure Storage Account Migration tool. This tool provides a simple and easy-to-use interface for migrating your classic storage account to a Resource Manager storage account.

Regarding your concern about keeping access to the blobs in the storage, you will be able to access the blobs in the storage account after the migration. However, you will need to update your application or scripts to use the new Resource Manager storage account endpoint.

Also, please note that you will need to have the necessary permissions to perform the migration. If you do not have admin access, you will need to contact your Azure administrator to perform the migration or grant you the necessary permissions.
