Hi, I have a issue with Power shell script for Logon script on the Windows domain server 2022. I have created a OU named "maintest" and under OU "maintest" , I created OU "test1" , "test2", "test3" , "test4" it see so on my domain I have created now under OU "maintest" a GPO named "flush" on the right site in "Details" I notify the Uniquee ID {CD65F038-T690-4A81-3938-AF755DF1516Z} I copied my power shell script ( pw.ps1 ) on the following folder \conto\SYSVOL\local.com\Policies{ CD65F038-T690-4A81-3938-AF755DF1516Z }\User\Scripts\Logon then add the my power shell script here too The Policy should be now applied for all the OUs OUs "test1" , "test2", "test3" , "test4" the GPO policy does not work on the client. What is here wrong? Regards

Hi,

I have a issue with Power shell script for Logon script on the Windows domain server 2022.

I have created a OU named "maintest" and under OU "maintest", I created OU "test1", "test2", "test3", "test4"

then add the my power shell script here too

the GPO policy does not work on the client. What is here wrong?

Dont understand that

Please make sure you put AD domain user accounts into **"maintest"**and its child OU "test1", "test2", **"test3"**and "test4", because it is user configuration.

I put the users on the following OUs "test1", "test2", **"test3"**and "test4" and not on the "maintest", because my OU "maintest" is my child OU.

I cannot create 4 GPOs for every OUs "test1", "test2", **"test3"**and "test4"

My PW script does run on the client manually.

Please tell whether my step correct is with Copy the PW script into folder and into Logon script on the GPO

My PW script does run on the client manually.

A: Do you mean on one domain machine when one domain user logon this domain machine, the script itself does not work?

No, I mean I can run it manually on the client machine. I check today one of that User. He has logon and I cannot see the script is running.

Here my script should run

Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope Process -ExecutionPolicy Bypass

Start-Process -FilePath C:\Windows\System32\ipconfig.exe -ArgumentList "/registerdns" -wait -WindowStyle hidden

Good day!

1.Please check if the user can access the script file under \conto\SYSVOL\local.com\Policies{CD65F038-T690-4A81-3938-AF755DF1516Z}\User\Scripts\Logon on his/her client.

2.Please check the gpresult file and check the GPO setting.

For checking User Configurations within gpresult, we can follow steps below.

Logon the machine using normal domain user account (that applies this gpo).

Create a folder named F1 in C drive.

Open CMD (do not run as Administrator).

Type gpresult /h C:\F1\gpo.html and click Enter.

Open gpo.html and check if there are these gpo settings under "User Details".
