We’re trying to get Azure stack HCI up & running so we can use Azure Migrate to migrate from ESXi to HCI.

Our subscription has been enabled for ESXi to HCI migrations by MicroSoft

We have an Azure migrate Project, filled with information about hundreds of VMs already.

So the migrate/discover/source appliance is running perfectly. The migrate project was re-created Early September. So the source/migration appliance is up & running, our Migrate project in Azure is filled with approx 900 discovered VMs.

We followed the docs to the letter, installed a ws2022 VM on the HCI node using Hyper-V manager. I created a key.

Installed the target appliance Configuration manager. Firewalls are open.

All checks are green, Agents are updated, but the ASR DRA agent keeps crashing after logon on we get:

__"failed to register the appliance. Check the error details, follow the remediation steps and clock on 'Retry'Button.
__
the error details just say: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
Remediation is to wait or submit a support case, which I'll do as soon as wel have Azure support sorted, but that'll take 2 weeks

The event manager is filled with ASR crashes:

(and the same error as in the “error details” above: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.)
