Hi everyone! This issue with the Linux servers has been resolved. This is the summery of what we did and a little bit of context: We contacted Azure support team as @SadiqhAhmed-MSFT recommended. They notice we had several old kernels on the servers. Not so long ago we upgraded several RHEL servers to 8.10, so we deleted old kernels, and we notice some old libraries we needed to update or delete. We did that as well. This is how our Linux technician could resolve this issue, and the agent is now installed on the servers. So, in conclusion: Delete old kernels. Delete or update libraries. Thanks for your help @SadiqhAhmed-MSFT !

It sounds like an issue with the initrd image creation process during the installation of the Mobility service agent on your RHEL 8.1 machine.

Can you check if the following rollup is in place - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/update-rollup-74-for-azure-site-recovery-584e3586-4c55-4cc2-8b1c-63038b6b4464

Ensure that your kernel is up to date. You can check your kernel version with:
uname -r

Verify that the required packages are installed. The Mobility service agent installation process requires several packages to be installed on the system. Make sure that all of the required packages are installed and up-to-date.

Check the disk space on the system. The initrd image creation process requires a certain amount of disk space to complete successfully. Make sure that there is enough free disk space on the system to complete the process.

If the issue persists, you may want to try reinstalling the Mobility service agent to see if that resolves the issue.

If none of these steps help resolve the issue, you may contact Azure technical support team by raising a support request. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.
