
Get rid of the pop up New office add in
Hello I work for a software company where we have developed a web-add in for Microsoft word that we published in the Microsoft Store.
The following pop won't go away, once we launch a word document from our API.
"New OFFICE ADD-in
This add-in is from the Office Store and adds new capabilities to Office. With add-ins, you can optimize your workflow, use robust features, and more. To continue, allow the add-in to access contents of files where it was included. "
We can allow and continue and then update the add in and the user can work normally. However when we close out of Word, and relaunch a document via our API the message comes back and we have to allow and continue.
I'm finding that for Office 365 users that pushing it through the portal i.e logging on to Office 365 with the users credentials, going to apps followed by add-ins, searching for our add in and the 'Get Now' seems to work for 90% of our user base. Rather than getting the web-add in directly from the store via word.
Our program is cloud based running on Azure. I do have access to the Azure portal, our company is willing to pay for support but I do not know if the support requests enter in Azure is only for Azure issues or if we can get assistance with this web add in.
