VPN connection error: Since new Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection has been loaded onto my PC I can't acces my VPN connection anymore

Since new Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection has been loaded onto my PC I can't acces my VPN connection anymore.
It keep on sending an Error message.

Please advise what connection settings I need to change.

    Have you tried excluding your VPN from Windows Defender "Exclusions" list ?

    1. You can launch Windows Defender Security Center and go to "Virus & Threat" protection and click Manage Settings.

    3. From Exclusions page you can add your VPN client software process to unblock your it. 7134-defender-2-exclusions.png
