I ran the Windows utility check for Windows 11 compatibility.

Result is my processor is not ok (Intel core i3 7100U). All other needs are fulfilled.

Is it a definitive issue or can I still install Windows 11 and use it properly ?

The Intel Core i3-7100U is not officially supported by Windows 11 according to Microsoft's requirements. Windows 11 has certain hardware requirements, including TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) and specific processor generations. The i3-7100U is from the 7th generation Intel processors, while Windows 11 officially supports 8th generation Intel processors or newer.

However, technically, it may still be possible to install Windows 11 on your machine using workarounds. Some users have bypassed the compatibility checks using registry edits or other methods, but this is not recommended for long-term use as it could cause issues with system updates and stability.

    Here’s what you should consider:

    1. Updates and Support: Microsoft might not provide updates for devices that don’t meet the official requirements, including security updates, which could leave your system vulnerable.
    2. Stability: Running unsupported hardware might lead to performance or compatibility issues down the line.
    3. Legal and Warranty Issues: If your system is under warranty or you're looking for official support from Microsoft, using unsupported hardware could void that.

In summary, while it is technically possible to install Windows 11 on your Intel Core i3-7100U, it’s not recommended for the reasons mentioned above. If you're not concerned about official support and updates, you could try it, but Windows 10 might be a better choice for long-term stability and security.

    Hi,

The Intel Core i3-7100U processor is not listed among the supported processors for Windows 11. The supported processors meet specific design principles around security, reliability, and system requirements for Windows 11. Therefore, it is likely that you may encounter performance issues or compatibility issues if you try to install and use Windows 11 on a device with this processor.

It is recommended to use a compatible processor to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with Windows 11.

    Best Regards,
