How to disable internal Keyboard in Windows 7!!!!

Hi,

My internal keyboard are not working properly. So, i'm using external keyboard. Internal keyboard make some noise while booting operating system and working keys automatically. Anybody help me, How to disable internal keyboard??

Model: Dell Studio 1345

OS: Windows 7 32 Bit

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update on the issue.

    If there is no disable option, try to uninstall the same and check if it helps.

    If it doesn't work, try the following steps.

    • Go to Start–>Search type in gpedit.msc
    • Click the file to open the Local Group Policy Editor and show Windows who is in control!! You want to go here: Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->System->Device Installation. Click on the subfolder Device Installation Restrictions on the left and on the right side you will see the possible restrictions.
    • Right Click on Prevent Installation of Devices not described by other policy settings and edit this option, set it on ENABLED.
    • Reboot your PC.

    Note: By doing so, you will stop the ability to install standard driver upon restart, open gpedit.msc again and revert the change so you will be able to install your driver.

    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    You may disable the keyboard from the Device Manager and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows + R on the keyboard
    • Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
    • Expand Keyboards.
    • Right click on the internal keyboard and click on disable.

    Thanks for your reply. In my device manager, I can't find disable option under keyboard driver.

    Hi,

    This steps couldn't help to solve my issue. When i followed this steps, My external keyboard also not working. Kindly suggest How to solve.
