Hello - I am  getting nowhere with Microsoft support so can anyone help me please? My date of birth is wrong on my profile and I can't change it in "your info". I keep getting a message that I am a child and that I need parental permissions whenever I sign in. I am 68! I have tried to submit a copy of my passport as I do not have a credit card as asked for but the form will not submit. This has completely messed up my emails and other websites. Any clues at all as to what to do?

Thanks

Kate

Can you login to your account and see what is your birthdate in your account? If your birthdate is for less than 13 years old, then you will need to change your birthdate appropriately.

Microsoft requires a date of birth for all Microsoft accounts to promote child safety in accordance with applicable laws and to provide you with the best user experience. Additionally, depending on your region, a parent or guardian's permission may be required to create an account. Microsoft is committed to comply with COPAA. Websites that are collecting information from children under the age of thirteen are required to comply with Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ) Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
