Are SQL server 2012 & 2014, compatible with Windows 10 Enterprise Edition?

Hi,

I want to help a customer that has problem with installing a software. So, when the software is installed, it's supposed to also install third part software including SQL server 2014, sql server 2012 native client, SQL server 2008 setup support files and R2 management objects.

The customers have Windows 10 Enterprise installed. But they said they have trouble in installing the software (unsuccessful on 'installing the SQL' part).

Just wondering, is SQL server 2014 compatible with Windows 10 Enterprise? or is it because of the security?

Do you have any recommendation on resolving SQL install issues on Windows 10 Enterprise?

What version of SQL Server 2012 &2014 do you want to install?
According to this doc, SQL Server 2014 Developer edition should be updated to at least SP3 for it to be supported on Windows 10. And SQL Server 2012 Developer edition should be updated to at least SP4 for it to be supported on Windows 10.

resolving SQL install issues on Windows 10 Enterprise

Could you please share us SQL Server Setup log within %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\nnn\Setup Bootstrap\Log? Please refer to View and Read SQL Server Setup Log Files.
