AppData and ProgramData are they now hidden??

Hello in the past, I was able to open and inspect files in AppData Roaming and ProgramData folders on C:\Users....

These two folder destinations are not there anymore BUT until the last update. They were in the directory for years, and I need to access AppData Roaming for one of my programs.

Why are they hidden, made unavailable?? I have developer mode enabled and don`t recall ever needing any permissions to view the folders or edit them.

Why now ...WTH ??

    Open File Explorer > View > Options > View > Check Show Hidden Files & Folders and uncheck Hide Protected Operating System Files > Close File Explorer and reopen File Explorer

    I assume that you do, but do you have file explorer set to show hidden files and folders?

    That is exactly were I USED to find them on my machine also. The two folder are no longer in the list. As ProgramData was directly below Programs(86) and Programs above it. I did not move or delete these 2 folders and I am trying to find them

    I find Program Data under C:\ and AppData as C:\Users\my user name\AppData

    Hello thanks for your time .... I think I do but if you have a way to confirm. That they are to be shown I will check to be sure, on both ends. Cool?? Please here this, if I chose the C:\ directory from This PC in file explorer or I use a cmd window to get to C:\ 

    Those 2 folders were there, no they are gone. So I may have something not selected properly. I have not needed to access them in 5 days or more. But I was navigating thru them, at that time. Now they have vanished. So please share what you mentioned ... I have to head out for work but will apply when I get back. Thank you for you help ...Peace.....
