Unable to download files from MIM portal

When attempting to download something from the MIM portal, for example RCDC configuration or request history we are getting a new Window opened with the following error shown: "Unable to process your request."

In the Application log the error: 'The portal was unable to complete a request and showed a user the default error page.'

Nothing in the Forefront Identity Manager log.

Same error in IE and Chrome.

This is with SharePoint 2019 and MIM 4.6.412.0.

Anyone else seen this issue or have suggestions on where to look at fixing this?

    Ok, so I followed my previous steps for SP 2016 and didn't realise extra steps were needed for SP2019 which are in the official documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-identity-manager/prepare-server-sharepoint

    After running the extra steps all is well.

    $w.BlockedASPNetExtensions.Remove("ashx")
    $w.Update()
    $w.BlockedASPNetExtensions
