missing micrphone boost

hi, just recently updated to windows 11 but my microphone is being limited as my voice is barely being picked up, tried looking for solutions and people say to just boost the input however i seem to be missing that option.

I've gone through the control panel, device manager, tried updating drivers etc and to no luck. every time I try and talk to my friend i have to near enough shout, when i test the microphone it only says about 1% of power usage.

    My Microphone is placed on top of my monitor and about two feet from me when I speak into it. The image below shows I am getting 81 %.

    Have you already been to Settings>System>Sound>Input>Microphone.
