S Mode is not a scam and there is no need to switch to Mac.

Not all Windows users are security minded and know how to protect their computers.

S Mode is intended to increase computer security by locking down Windows 10/11 so it can only run apps from the Microsoft Store which are verified for security by Microsoft. S Mode also works with Microsoft Edge which is designed to give added protection against phishing and malware infection.

S Mode is widely used in education, business or environments where administers do not want users installing their own apps which could compromise security.

Home users can easily switch out of S Mode by following a few steps. After that, it is up to the user to ensure the security of their computers by only downloading programs from trusted sources.

    Hi Jason,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If your Windows is in S Mode, and you you find it too limiting and you need to install 3rd party software, then you can switch out of S Mode to Windows 10 Home, if is free to do that, but it is a one way switch.

Open the Settings App, then go to the Windows activation page, there, click 'Go to the Store' and follow the steps to switch out of S Mode.
