How to remove SQL Server Standared Instance and keep Express Edition ?

Hi,

We get both SQL Server 2012 Standard Edition and SQL Server 2012 Express installed on the same Windows Server.

There is a request to get the SQL Server 2012 Standard Edition to be removed.

From Programs, we find that there are a number of SQL Server related programs and don't know which one should be removed (without affecting the Express Edition).

Is there any suggestion ?

Thanks

In Control Panel->Program and Features, find the entry saying "Microsoft SQL Server 2012". Select it and select Uninstall/Change and in the mini-menu that comes up select Remove. This starts the Setup Wizard, and here you can select which instance to work with.
