I keep getting disconnect while using Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection for Mac. Error that pops up "You were disconnected from Windows-based computer." What can I do to prevent this from happening? This only happens if I let the connection sit idle for about 5 minutes. Note: the computer isn't idle, just the remote connection. The error does not mention anything about being idle but that's the only common denominator that I have identified. It does not disconnect if and while I'm using it. I've already gone through all of the software preferences to make sure there isn't a setting that needs to be changed. Please advise.

Hey DHMPM,

What version of OS X are you currently running on your Mac?

Remote Desktop Connection for Mac does not currently support OS X Lion (10.7) or later versions of OS X:

Windows and Mac OS version compatibility

As for an alternative, I've seen a few users try **CoRD**. However, I haven't tried this application myself.

I am running OS X version 10.8.2. I've tried CoRD and there are many conflicts with that product.
