When I am in the VB Editor on a clients computer, and i choose tools > references and want to check Microsoft Scripting Runtime, it is missing. Is that because the user is not an administrator? TIA for advice

Re: reference to MS Scripting Runtime

You must be on a computer running windows.

Click the 'Browse' button in the references dialog and search for the "scrrun.dll"

On a Windows XP machine it is found in Windows/System32

Re:  Can MS Scripting Runtime be used on a MAC

I do not know and I doubt it.

Suggest you make a separate post in the MAC forum section and reference MAC in the Subject line.

You should also say what you are trying to do.  There may be an alternate method.
