Frozen Microsoft Word Document

I have a frozen Microsoft Word Document and cannot close it.  When I right-click to close it says You cannot close Microsoft Word because a dialog box is open.  Click OK, switch to word, and then close the dialog box.  I cannot locate a dialog box.

    Hi Jim

    It is possible that dialog may be behind the main Word window, resize the word window and move it to see if that is the case . ..

    Otherwise, restart (not Shut Down) your PC to see if the error clears . . .

    It won't allow me to do anything.  The blue circle just spins.  I've tried restarting, but that has no effect.

    Do you mean your PC will not shut down?

    if so, press and hold the Power Button on your PC for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down, then restart your PC . . .
