Issues connecting to SharePoint Project Online from Azure Synapse. We created a Service Principal as per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-factory/connector-sharepoint-online-list . Manage to view list items under the PWA site(https://{company}.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa), the moment we try to view the list items under https://{company}.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa/_api/Projectdata we run out of luck. Tried using SharePointOnlineList, Odata & Rest all pointing to same issue not authenticating.

I am not a project online expert but I believe this is because the pwa api does not use the app only permission model which that document refers to. It needs to be accessed in the context of a user not an app principal. Adding SharePoint online tag to see if we can get further clarification.
