Powerpoint Format Shape Position disabled

Hi

Has anyone observed the "format shape position" option disabled for an object in PPT? I've used the "Design Ideas" which has added a sketch line, but can't move it, other than deleting and adding my own rectangle shape and applying the sketch style. However, I'm curious why the options are disabled. The control is not locked, that I can see. Also, not seemingly able to select it other than tabbing through the objects until it selects or via the "Selection Pane". Running PowerPoint 365 2008 build 13127.21792

Design Ideas frequently uses shapes that are locked in the XML (a bad practice, when you don't let users know). Try opening the Selection Pane (Home>Select>Selection Pane), then select the object and click on the Lock icon to unlock it.

    Hi RobDowson,

First, my pleasure to assist you.

As per your description, please don’t worry, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

May I know in your power point slide, does the wrapping style set to something other than In Line with Text? Pictures in text boxes must be inline. They cannot be wrapped.

I appreciate your understanding and stay safe!!

    Best regards
