A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Hello, E Frohse
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
I realize that you have encountered a problem with your personal OneDrive. I understand how you feel.
I would like to explain to you that when you click "Unlink this PC" in the OneDrive settings > the Account tab, your files will not be lost.
You will no longer be able to see these files in File Explorer on the computer you are disconnecting. However, files saved in the cloud will still be kept in the OneDrive cloud.
When you log in to OneDrive application again, you should be able to see your files in File Explorer again.
To resolve the connection problem, you can try the following network troubleshooting steps:
- If a VPN (e.g., Norton), third-party antivirus software, or encryption software is enabled, please disable them and try again.
These software may incorrectly block your access to OneDrive. - Change the network connection. For example, you can connect to a mobile cellular hotspot.
An unstable network connection may prevent you from logging into OneDrive.
If the issue persists, please provide us with more information so we can better understand your problem:
- I notice that your post was moved from Windows section. Is your laptop a Windows computer?
- Please attach a screenshot of the error message that displays "Network Connection Problem." To upload a picture, you can click this button in the reply box.
- Please log in to OneDrive online in a web browser. And tell me if your files still exist on the web version of OneDrive.
Once we receive your response, we may recommend more troubleshooting steps. Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.
Best wishes,
