I have been getting this message whenever I attempt to use Excel:

"We're sorry, but Excel has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. Excel will need to be closed as a result. Would you like us to repair it now?"

I click on repair, but it seems to do nothing, and I get the same message when I try to open Excel spreadsheet. How do i repair this?

Hi, I am an Independent Advisor, and welcome to Microsoft Q&A.

I understand that you are experiencing issues with your Microsoft Excel.

    Please close all Excel files.

Try a Quick Repair for Microsoft Office.

    Follow the steps below.

    Press Windows + R, type: appwiz.cpl

Locate Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 > Change > select Quick Repair first.

If it is still not working, run Online Repair. Online Repair will uninstall and reinstall your Microsoft Office Suite. This method will take longer to complete.
