The button that is supposed to allow me to connect my Sharepoint calendar to outlook is grayed out and I cannot find the solution anywhere online.
please help. 
It is likely you're not using Internet Explorer 11 to browse to the site. Do you see it enabled with IE?
Hi, thanks for your help. Actually, I am using a mac, and Explorer is not available for Mac. Any ideas?
You could also try other browser, such as chrome.
Hi I am using chrome. It does not work. Safari also does not work.
Did you check what I mentioned earlier? Is that still the case?
If this problem persists, we recommend that you uninstall and reinstall outlook.
I cannot find the solutions you mentioned available on mac. The interface is quite different from Windows.
Does it have the same problem on Windows devices?
Please check the following tips:
1.If your SharePoint site has Minimal Download Strategy feature enabled, simply press "F5" to reload the current page.
2.Make sure that "SharePoint Stssync Handler" is enabled in browser add-ons. (IE >> Manage Add-ons)
3.Try adding your SharePoint site to "Trusted sites zone", Also uncheck "Enhanced Protected Mode" for the zone.
4.Logged user must have at least "Read" permissions to SharePoint . "View Only" doesn't work.
