It was sold to me from a computer online store many years ago. Not a work computer - personal. Does that mean, if cannot be reactivated and if so. What will it not allow me to do?

Hi Team,
I recently update my BIOS and today I have a Windows Activate Watermark. Let me know what you need.
The settings I changed in bios were.
CPPC -> Enabled, from AUTO
CPPC Preferred Cores --> Enabled from AUTO
Advanced --> Platform Power changed to: Typical Current Idle.
Also change my Power Settings from -- High Performance to Ultimate Performance.
I am experiencing Micro Stutters in game, where my CPU was dropping to 4% utilization. So followed some trouble online to help resolve that which it did. But then this happened.

Is windows supplied by the company you work for, if not it is not a consumer licence and seen as illegal for a personal user.
If it is supplied by the company you work for then you need to talk to the company IT dept.

2025-12-12T18:42:06.2033333+00:00 Did you just buy the licence or was it the windows install and the licence. If the latter you were sold an unsuitable edition of windows and an illegal licence.
Do you recall seeing a KMS hack file in start-up. I would check now to see it there is one. You may have to clean install windows to get either Home or Pro edition and then a suitable licence for the edition you choose.
One method of trying to change from Enterprise to Pro edition is to use a generic Pro edition key at Change product key in Settings. This will not activate Pro but would allow you to activate Pro edition with a suitable licence.
For a personal user you need Home or Pro edition of windows.
