I'm in a loop with bitblocker. I do not need it. Please provide step by step about how to turn off bitlocker.

If you are unable to access your computer because it been encrypted with BitLocker, you'll need to have the correct BitLocker recovery key to decrypt your computer. Once your computer has been decrypted, open Control Panel and go to BitLocker Drive Encryption to turn off BitLocker protection.

It's my opinion that if you have a desktop computer, and you trust the people in your house, BitLocker protection is not needed.

It's my opinion that if you have a desktop computer, and you trust the people in your house, BitLocker protection is not needed.

Open the search bar on your taskbar, type Manage BitLocker, and press Enter.
Find the drive you want to decrypt (usually the C: drive) and click Turn off BitLocker.
Confirm your choice by clicking Turn off BitLocker or Decrypt drive in the pop-up window.
Wait for the decryption to finish. Keep your computer turned on and plugged into power until the process is complete.
