Question

I created an ftp site in iis 7, but when I tried to access it, I encountered this error.

An error occurred opening that folder on the FTP server. Make sure you have permission to access that folder.

I use basic authentication in the FTP authentication.

There are many reasons for this error, you can try the following steps to solve your problem:

1. Please check whether all the clients have this error. If so, then it may be that the client does not have permission to access the FTP server. Please check the permissions on the FTP server.
2. Turn off the firewall on the client before testing.
3. Go to internet options>Advanced tab> uncheck Use Passive FTP(for firewall and DSL modem compatability).

Azure window servers suck Port 25 and ftp do not work correctly. Maybe it is time to go to Amazon.
