CM support centre - viewing logs

Question

Greetings,

CMs support centre includes two tools:

Support Centre OneTrace and
Support Centre Log file Viewer

Both of them say they replace CMtrace.
Why are there two of them and what's the difference between them?

Support Center log file viewer is a modern log viewer, this tool provides a customizable interface with support for tabs and dockable windows. It has a fast presentation layer, and can load large log files in seconds.

OneTrace is a new log viewer with Support Center. It works similarly to CMTrace, with improvements:
A tabbed view
Dockable windows
Improved search capabilities
Ability to enable filters without leaving the log view
Scrollbar hints to quickly identify clusters of errors
Fast log opening for large files
Windows jump lists for recently opened files (version 2103 and later)
Status messages are displayed in an easy to read format (version 2111 and later)

Hi, @David Zemdegs

After install Support Center, we can see the OneTrace is CMPowerLogViewer.exe, the Log file Viewer is CMLogViewer.exe
And the size of CMPowerLogViewer.exe is 245 KB, but the CMLogViewer.exe only 48 KB.
So obviously, OneTrace is more powerful than Log file Viewer.
