With the 2005 controls, does the viewer utilize SOAP? We are working on a deployment, but will have to write our own custom tool to handle drilldown in SOAP. (VS 2003/1.1.) I wonder if 2005 will provide complete SOAP functionality since our report server won't be accessible by URL. - Anonymous

Yes, the controls perform all operations through the SOAP API. You do not need to expose the Report Server via URL.
