More on DJ Danger Mouse's “Grey Album”. Accoring to greytuesday.org:
“Tuesday, February 24 will be a day of coordinated civil disobedience: websites will post Danger Mouse's Grey Album on their site for 24 hours in protest of EMI's attempts to censor this work.“
I doubt DJ Danger Mouse has much to do with this. According to reports in the press, he is doing everything he can to co-operate with EMI, because he wants a career after this. But the Grey Album is taking on a life of its own and, in the process, might become the cornerstone event that challenges the current music copyright laws which make re-mixing illegal.
The amount of free publicity he is getting for this album can only be good thing for his career.
