I'm currently in the Canadian city of Vancouver for Unity2013 - the developer conference for users of Unity3D.
Today was a pre-conference training day, which I spent with a lot of other developers frantically building an entire first-person-shoot-em-up game with only two coffee breaks and lunch. And we did it!
I continue to be amazed with Unity3D. If you haven't given it a go yet, and you're interested in writing apps for Windows, Windows Phone and a bunch of other platforms too, you owe it to yourself to check out the free download. Unity3D is a powerful game engine, with a powerful IDE (a GUI for editing the game scene and objects, and a text IDE for editing the C# scripts that drive them) and is capable of some eye-popping results.
The next few days will consist of keynotes, talks, and demonstrations. I'm looking forward to it!
