Information functions

DAX information functions look at the cell or row that is provided as an argument and tells you whether the value matches the expected type. For example, the ISERROR function returns TRUE if the value that you reference contains an error.

COLUMNSTATISTICS	Returns a table of statistics regarding every column in every table in the model.
CONTAINS	Returns TRUE if values for all referred columns exist, or are contained, in those columns. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
CONTAINSROW	Returns TRUE if a row of values exists or is contained in a table. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
CONTAINSSTRING	Returns TRUE if one string contains another string. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
CONTAINSSTRINGEXACT	Returns TRUE if one string contains another string. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
CUSTOMDATA	Returns the content of the CustomData property in the connection string.
HASONEFILTER	Returns TRUE if the number of directly filtered values on columnName is one. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
HASONEVALUE	Returns TRUE if the context for columnName has been filtered down to one distinct value only. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISAFTER	Returns TRUE if a row meets all the condition parameters that emulate the behavior of a Start At clause. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISBLANK	Returns TRUE if a value is blank. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISBOOLEAN	Returns TRUE if a value is a logical value. Otherwise, returns FALSE. Alias of ISLOGICAL.
ISCROSSFILTERED	Returns TRUE if columnName or another column in the same or related table is being filtered. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISCURRENCY	Returns TRUE if a value is a decimal number. Otherwise, returns FALSE. Alias of ISDECIMAL.
ISDATETIME	Returns TRUE if a value is a date / time. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISDECIMAL	Returns TRUE if a value is a decimal number. Otherwise, returns FALSE. Alias of ISCURRENCY.
ISDOUBLE	Returns TRUE if a value is a floating-point number. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISEMPTY	Returns TRUE if a table is empty. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISERROR	Returns TRUE if a value is an error. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISEVEN	Returns TRUE if a number is even. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISFILTERED	Returns TRUE if columnName is being filtered directly. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISINSCOPE	Returns TRUE if the specified column is the level in a hierarchy of levels. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISINT64	Returns TRUE if a value is a whole number. Otherwise, returns FALSE. Alias of ISINTEGER.
ISINTEGER	Returns TRUE if a value is a whole number. Otherwise, returns FALSE. Alias of ISINT64.
ISLOGICAL	Returns TRUE if a value is a logical value. Otherwise, returns FALSE. Alias of ISBOOLEAN.
ISNONTEXT	Returns TRUE if a value is not text, including blank cells. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISNUMBER	Returns TRUE if a value is a number. Otherwise, returns FALSE. Alias of ISNUMERIC.
ISNUMERIC	Returns TRUE if a value is a number. Otherwise, returns FALSE. Alias of ISNUMBER.
ISODD	Returns TRUE if a number is odd. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISONORAFTER	Returns TRUE if a row meets all the condition parameters that emulate the behavior of a Start At clause. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISSELECTEDMEASURE	Used by expressions for calculation items to determine the measure that is in context is one of those specified in a list of measures.
ISSTRING	Returns TRUE if a value is text. Otherwise, returns FALSE. Alias of ISTEXT.
ISSUBTOTAL	Creates another column in a SUMMARIZE expression that returns TRUE if the row contains subtotal values for the specified column. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
ISTEXT	Returns TRUE if a value is text. Otherwise, returns FALSE. Alias of ISSTRING.
NAMEOF	Returns the name of a table, column, measure, or calendar as a text string.
NONVISUAL	Marks a value filter in a SUMMARIZECOLUMNS expression as non-visual.
SELECTEDMEASURE	Used by expressions for calculation items to reference the measure that is in context.
SELECTEDMEASUREFORMATSTRING	Used by expressions for calculation items to retrieve the format string of the measure that is in context.
SELECTEDMEASURENAME	Used by expressions for calculation items to determine the measure that is in context by name.
TABLEOF	Returns a reference to the table associated with a specified column, measure, or calendar.
TEXTCONTAINS	Returns TRUE if text in a column matches a search string according to full-text search semantics. Otherwise, returns FALSE.
TEXTSIMILARITY	Returns a relevance score that indicates how strongly text in a column matches a search string.
USERCULTURE	Returns the locale for the current user.
USERNAME	Returns the domain name and username from the credentials given to the system at connection time.
USEROBJECTID	Returns the current user's Object ID or SID.
USERPRINCIPALNAME	Returns the user principal name.
