IWMSFileDescriptions::get_length

The get_length method retrieves the number of file description objects contained in the collection.

Syntax

  HRESULT get_length(
  long*  pVal
);

Parameters

pVal

[out] Pointer to a long representing the number of file description objects contained in the collection.

Return Values

If the method succeeds, it returns S_OK. If it fails, it returns an HRESULT error code.

Return code Number Description
E_POINTER 0x80004003 pVal is a NULL pointer argument.

Remarks

If the publishing point path references a playlist, the get_length method returns 1. It does not retrieve the number of media files referenced by the playlist.

This is the JScript version of the IWMSFileDescriptions::get_Count method. It is included for developers more comfortable with JScript syntax.
