IWMSRootDirectories::get_Item

The get_Item method retrieves a specific root directory path from the IWMSRootDirectories collection.

Syntax

  HRESULT get_Item(
  VARIANT  varIndex,   BSTR*  pVal
);

Parameters

varIndex

[in] VARIANT containing the index of the root directory path to retrieve.

ppVal

[out] Pointer to a BSTR containing the path.

Return Values

If the method succeeds, it returns S_OK. If it fails, it returns an HRESULT error code.

Return code Number Description
DISP_E_BADINDEX 0x8002000B Indicates that varIndex is an invalid index location.
E_OUTOFMEMORY 0x8007000E Indicates that there is insufficient memory to complete the function.
E_POINTER 0x80004003 Indicates that pVal is a NULL pointer argument.

Remarks

The path contains the prefix for the data source. For example, if the path is file://c:\wmpub\wmroot, the data source prefix is file://.
