Hello @Chris PAL ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to answer your question. Please find the answers in-line to your question.
Is it possible to migrate Nutanix Hyper-V VMs to Azure Stack HCI using Nutanix Move?
I have gone through the migration content on the Nutanix docs and the answer for this question is No. You cannot use Nutanix to move from Nutanix to Azure.
Nutanix Move is a tool used to migrate VMs to Nutanix AHV or Nutanix Acropolis is an operating system which allows you to create a flexible and high-performance HCI platform.
Support Matrix of Nutanix:
It supports the movement from below hypervisors to AHV
Move 1.x and Move 2.x supports migration from ESXi to Hyper-V.
Move 3.x supports migration from Hyper-V to AHV, AWS to AHV, and ESXi to ESXi (on Nutanix).
Move 4.x: support for migration from Azure to AOS (AHV and ESXi).
Comprehensive list from Nutanix forums/docs
VMware ESXi to Nutanix AHV
VMware ESXi on legacy infrastructure to VMware ESXi on Nutanix
Microsoft Hyper-V to Nutanix AHV
AWS EC2 to Nutanix AHV
AWS EC2 to VMware ESXi on Nutanix
Nutanix AHV to AWS EC2
Azure to AOS (AHV and ESXi).
Microsoft Azure Stack HCI Recommendation:
The recommended way of Migrating VMs to Azure Stack Hyperconverged Infrastructure is documented in the below document links from Azure Stack HCI which is a bit intricate, but a standard approach advised to use by Microsoft.
