I dont have an offline image. All I have is the dotnetfx35.exe
How do you install offline version of .net framework 3.5 on to windows server 2019

Hello.
I am trying to install .net framework 3.5 onto windows server 2019 that is offline. I have downloaded the offline installer dotnetfx35.exe but I get an error when trying to install the exe when double clicking on it. Any advise online says to use the windows ISO but I do not have it. Is there anyway you can use the offline installer of dotnetfx35.exe on windows server 2019?

JCAlexandres 0 Reputation points2024-10-24T21:03:30.02+00:00 Mount the source of the operating system CD, then when adding the role before clicking Install, click the link to set the location (X:\sources\sxs), depending on the letter of your CD/DVD drive, in my case because the server is a VM and air gapped, internet source was not an option, so mounted the image of the OS used to create the VM then .NET Framework 3.5 installed.
