Persistent VDI machines fails to scan Windows Update Scan failed with error = 0x80240438

We are getting this Windows Update failed

We get the error Scan failed with error = 0x80240438. on the WUAHandler.log

Please suggest what needs to be done to fix this error.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
    The issue usually related to the winhttp proxy setting, you may check the WindowsUpdate.log to see if there any message like proxy cannot be reached, if so, at admin cmd prompt and type:
    Netsh winhttp show proxy
    If it doesn't say direct access then type:
    Netsh winhttp reset proxy
