Hi,

I am new to SCCM. I was told to install SCCM Client on Servers.

However, I have attempted but found that SCCM Client was not installed on a number of Servers.

May I ask

  1. Is there any way for me to check which "SCCM Client" installation fails ? Is there any log file ?
  2. What is the usual troubleshooting skills and possible reason ?

Thanks

    @TonyJK
    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
    The important log in case of client installation in the agent is the ccmsetup.log and clientmsi.log these logs are present in the location C:\windows\ccmsetup\logs.
    When we start troubleshooting client push installation the first log we need to check is ccm.log in the server logs(%ProgramFiles%\Configuration Manager\Logs), from ccm.log you can see the start of the request made to the client and you can verify if the ccmsetup.exe service was able to successfully run on the targeted client machine.
