unable to access index of repository mran.microsoft.com/

getting below error while installing r packages using mran.microsoft.com repo. this was working fine on June 2nd 2023. please help.

This could be due to a temporary network issue or a change in the repository.

You can try accessing the URL directly in a web browser to see if it returns any errors? If the URL is not accessible, you can try using a different repository or wait for the issue to be resolved!!

I'm not able to access https://mran.microsoft.com also. getting below error

FYI: to other readers:
MRAN is a service provided by Microsoft that mirrors CRAN every day, and allows users to use particular snapshots of CRAN as their active repositories within their R session.

@Addepalli, Pavan - Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

Microsoft R Application Network (MRAN) website and CRAN Time Machine will be retired on July 1, 2023.

Since the website https://rpackages.microsoft.com has been shut down on July 1, 2023, since it not reachable - you will be experiencing 403 error message as excepted.

For more details refer to Microsoft R Application Network retirement.

Thanks for your response. since https://rpackages.microsoft.com/ is retiring, I will plan to use some other public repo to overcome the build issues.

@Addepalli, Pavan - If you have questions regarding the retirement of Microsoft R Application Network, please contact us at [mran@microsoft.com]. - I would suggest you to send out an email with your ask.

As a recommended action: You should plan to migrate from the use of Microsoft R Application Network website and CRAN Time Machine to avoid any interruptions. The CRAN Time Machine functionality can be replaced by using the miniCRAN R package as documented. The use of “Explore Packages” functionality from MRAN can be replaced by CRAN Task Views.
