Why my internet speed is 200 mps but remote desktop connection quality only shows 3 bars out of 4?

The remote desktop used to work really well before and all of sudden. The landlords had a spectrum guy reset the router because they had experienced a slowdown but i had not at all. Since then, my remote desktop has been showing 3 our 4 bars and saying the connection quality is just good, not excellent like before.

Is it possible that the landlords had done something or had limited the devices to be connected to RDP? they are using RDP to wfh as well and they say theirs is working just fine. They dont understand anything about the techs so i prob wont get an answer if i ask what their quality bar is showing

Is there a way to see in the setting if my device has been limited?

    Hello @linh trinh

What about the connection quality of other software? Only remote desktop slow?

Did this happened right after resetting the router? Is there any other changes, like updates?

The router has the function to restrict someone’s internet usage. You will need login password (not wifi password) to sign in to your router page. From there, you can find out if your device has been limited.

You can also change the connection speed to see whether the issue persist?

    Hope this helps!
