I have a scenario where the user is having an issue logging in to AVD boxes. A few things I notice when troubleshooting. The user can log in when I use the URL web client, but when they use the Remote desktop client it is hanging at "Applying user settings," it will terminate or close the window. I am having a hard time troubleshooting this issue.

I was also able to solve the issue that when I am on a different network, it works.

Hi @Ebrima Kalleh

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform.

Based on the information you provided, it seems like the issue is related to the Remote Desktop client. When you use the URL web client, you are able to log in successfully, but when you use the Remote Desktop client, it hangs at "Applying user settings" and terminates or closes the window. Additionally, you mentioned that the issue is not present when you are on a different network.

One possible cause of this issue could be related to network connectivity. When you are on a different network, the connection may be more stable, allowing you to log in successfully. However, when you are on the same network as the AVD boxes, there may be network issues that are preventing you from logging in.

Another possible cause could be related to the Remote Desktop client itself. It is possible that there is an issue with the client that is preventing you from logging in.

To troubleshoot this issue, I would recommend the following steps:

Check your network connectivity: Make sure that you have a stable network connection and that there are no issues with your network that could be causing the problem.

Check the Remote Desktop client: Try using a different Remote Desktop client to see if the issue persists. You can also try reinstalling the Remote Desktop client to see if that resolves the issue.

Check the AVD boxes: Check the AVD boxes to make sure that they are configured correctly and that there are no issues with the configuration that could be causing the problem.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact Microsoft support for further assistance. They can help you troubleshoot the issue and provide additional guidance on how to resolve it.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
